Z-Flashing

To keep your home's siding safe from water and other weather elements, Z flashing is an easy-to-install solution. It's suitable for doors, windows, vents, decks and other exterior spaces where water can pool and cause damage. Named for its distinctive "Z" shape, this metal roof drip edge diverts the water away from the vulnerable points in the roofing so it can drain properly.

Z flashing is primarily available in metals such as aluminum and galvanized steel. 

When installing your Z flashing, you'll need to ensure that you're using the same type of fastener as the material of the Z flashing that you're using.
